Online Free Hearing Tests

Established audiology practice since 1978 with a special interest in testing children of all ages including newborn. We employ Melbourne University trained audiologists and use state of the art equipment. We work in close collaboration with GPs and paediatricians, maternal health nurses, speech therapists. We take referrals from any health professional whose care the child is under. Direct referral from parents and guardians also accepted.

At Hearlink we are able to carry out objective electrophysiological evaluations of the auditory system as well as subjective (age appropriate) behavioral audiometric testing. We are registered with the Victorian Infant Hearing Screening Program (VIHSP) and perform diagnostic audiological tests on babies who have failed their hearing screening test in the hospital. ‘At risk’ babies are prioritized.

Otitis Media

Otitis media is an inflammation in the middle ear which is usually associated with a build-up of fluid. Symptoms, severity, frequency, and length of the condition vary from a single short period with a slight decrease in hearing ability, through to possible complications such as permanent hearing loss.

Auditory Processing
